MacDonald’s Ranch unfortunately does not host/coordinate weddings – we do however provide the facility to an affiliate of ours that does all the coordinating!
All wedding inquiries go through Gettin' Hitched as they are the true wedding coordinators that utilize our venue. Vendor and catering questions would go through them as well!

All of our events can include a western excursion that gives you a scenic tour of our Sonoran Desert. Choose from a horseback ride, stagecoach ride, hayride, or train ride for a unique experience your guests will not forget! We can accommodate a modest get together or an immense function. Looking to keep it simple? No problem! Rent one of our many sites and customize your event as you like, with or without a tour.

Dress it up or down anyway you like! We are an outdoor venue with many event sites which makes it ideal for us to host more than one party in a day. Your party location is selected based on the size of your group, your western excursion, and entertainment needs. All areas come standard with picnic table seating, serving tables, bar area, bistro lighting, bonfire, and full restrooms. Depending on the size of your event additional restrooms, tables, heaters, and bonfires can be added for additional fees.
Do you require a minimum number of guests for a Private Event?
Yes, we do. It is best to give us an estimated headcount when you request pricing in the link above so we can send you the appropriate information based on your group size. Our absolute base minimum is 15 guests. If you have less than 15 guests then we recommend checking out our Cowboy Cookouts!
Do I have to add a Western Excursion?
Not at all! We have lots of guests rent a party site and then add entertainment if wanted or even bring in their own! We are flexible and it is best to list as much information as possible when you request pricing.
Can I book a Western Excursion and Party Site for my guests but cook my own food?
Definitely! We have charcoal grills onsite that can be requested. Just provide your own charcoal, lighter fluid, utensils, and you are good to go!
I received my information and know what I would like to do - what is the next step?
Respond to our current email thread (please always check your spam folder!) and let us know you would like a contract with your choices! We will customize an itinerary based on your needs and what we know works best based with the information you provided for your event. We will then email you a proposal with all of the details to approve and move on to the deposit stage, completely reserving your date.
What should my guests wear to my event?
Since we are outdoors we always recommend dressing for the weather especially in the winter. Longs pants and closed toed shoes or boots are ideal to do any western excursion or entertainment option you have booked for your guests! Ladies: we do not recommend dresses, flip-flops, or high-heels as you can be uncomfortable exploring what we have to offer. Take the western theme to heart and dust off those vintage cowboy boots and jeans!
Can myself or one of my guests bring their dog to the event?
No. We do not allow outside animals at the ranch.
